Here are the things I’ve accomplished as a writer this week:
Publishing
Put out my latest live podcast titled Books for Men? (April 7, 2025) for Audio Germanicus. In this episode, I talked about the topic about books to read for men. Or rather, I showcased some books that I’ve bought lately and show them why people (esp. men) should read them.
Published Gustavo the One-Winged (April 9, 2025) on Germanicus Publishing. This is a standalone story for The Holy League Universe. This one is more of a in-universe encyclopedia of a dangerous beast.
Published Battle on the Holy Plane (April 11, 2025) on Germanicus Publishing. This is a fantasy flash fiction I submitted to a flash fiction contest. Alas, I didn’t win. So instead, I decided to publish the story for paying subscribers.
Published the fifth chapter of Adventures in Balkania on Royal Road.
Writing
Wrote the opening scenes for a possible sequel to Prisoner and Ransom. Also did some “worldbuilding” for it. For now, I decided to shelf the story.
Wrote a quick post titled My Chicago Spring Experience. Set to be released next week on Indonesian and American.
Reading
Continued my reading of Barren Metal by E. Michael Jones. Have finished Chapter 20 (The Rise of the Fuggers). Currently on Chapter 21 (Jakob the Rich).
Miscellaneous
Went through the fourth of (mostly) full week of online classes at Universitas Kristen Indonesia (UKI). This is definitely the most work I’ve done for my classes so far. I had to do two assignments for two classes.
First is for my Hukum Pidana (Criminal Law) class in which I wrote (by hand) about the types of delicts.
The second is for my Hukum Islam (Islamic Law) class. And there are actually three papers I had to write: the first is for the Islamic modesty standard, the second is for dealing with diversity in Indonesia, and the third is on the interplay of marriage, children, and inheritance in Islamic Law. I had to do a lot of research for these papers and it was definitely the most I have written in Indonesian if not ever but definitely in a while.
Created a playlist for my podcast clips on YouTube.
