Here are the things I’ve accomplished as a writer this week:
Publishing
Published Comedy is not an Excuse for Blasphemy (May 6, 2025) on Indonesian and American. Using examples such as the infamous Draw Muhammad Day and the recent “Trump as Pope” meme, this article put forward the case for people taking offense.
Published the The Germanicus Newsletter, May 2025 (May 7, 2025) on Germanicus Publishing. This is an update of what I’ve been up to.
Began publishing my sci-fi serial story Prisoner and Ransom on Royal Road. Published under the title Prisoner and Ransom: The Perils of Agent Jen.
Writing
Drew up the outline for a third story for I tentatively call the “Prisoner and Ransom Saga”. It’s almost finished (4.5/5 chapters outlined). Since the second story hadn’t been published yet, this one will remain in the trunk for the time being.
Continued working on the outline for the next UEC Story. Right now, it’s almost finished (6/8 chapters outlined).
Reading
Continued my reading of Barren Metal by E. Michael Jones. Have finished Chapter 24 (Eck and the Usury Debate). Currently on Chapter 25 (Ulrich von Hutten and the German Reaction) out of 101.
Miscellaneous
Continued the weekly law classes at Universitas Kristen Indonesia (UKI). For this week, I only got one writing assignment. This one’s for my Hukum Perdata (Civil Law) class. For this one, I’m being asked to write on the difference between “Perbuatan Melawan Hukum” (which from my understanding is the Indonesian term for “tort”) and “wanprestasi (“default” in English). I’ve done my research but I haven’t began writing it in earnest.
SIDE NOTE
I’ve been really busy with non-writing things (which I don’t wish to elaborate since I prefer to keep these things separate). Also, right now, I’m very annoyed (again, I won’t elaborate - just something I want to mention in case I’ve missed some things).
