An After Action Report on my latest chat with Alvin H.
Greetings,
Last week, I had another chat with
of . This time we talked about elections. Both Indonesian and American. I’ve uploaded the video on YouTube. Watch it below:For the most part, I’m very satisfied with the results. Personally, I think I’ve come a long way since my first talk with Alvin. That being said, I did make some gaffes. Around 2nd minute mark, I said that American presidential elections happen in September. Actually, they don’t; they happen in November.
But other than that, I don’t think I’ve said anything particularly foolish or regrettable. More importantly, Alvin and I had a meeting of the minds. Alvin was able to enlighten me on a lot of Indonesian stuff that I didn’t know. For that matter, he was able to inform me on some American stuff that I didn’t know. Meanwhile, I was able to give him my thoughts on both Indonesian and American things.
Also, I’m flattered to learn that my article on Indonesian politics which drew parallels between Prabowo and Trump inspired him to write his own.
Each of us also have some spicy takes of our own. But I don’t mind that.
As I have alluded earlier, I love how this one turned out. Certainly the best we’ve gotten so far. I just need to get a microphone now.
