Here are the things I’ve accomplished as a writer this week:
Publishing
Published I’m Cancelling an Article (May 1, 2025) on Indonesian and American. This is a strange blog article detailing my scrapping of an article I had in the works, and why I did it.
Published the seventh and final chapter of Adventures in Balkania on Royal Road. So that’s another story I’ve finished on that platform.
Writing
Wrote an article that I got halfway (about 800 words out of most likely around 1,500 words) through before I decided to scrap it (which was mentioned in my aforementioned blog article).
Started a new article which hopefully wouldn’t be scrapped like the one mentioned above.
Reading
Continued my reading of Barren Metal by E. Michael Jones. Have finished Chapter 23 (The Fuggers and the Indulgence Trade). Currently on Chapter 24 (Eck and the Usury Debate) out of 101.
Miscellaneous
Went through more week of online classes at Universitas Kristen Indonesia (UKI) for law. At this point, I’m definitely used to these classes its patterns.
At this point, I’ve been doing the usual classes though I still had one more midterm assignment to submit, which I did. Punctuality isn’t exactly a strong suit for Indonesians, and yes that includes midterm assignments are due that happen two weeks later than they were supposed to. This one is for a class called “Ilmu Negara” which in English translate to “The Science of Nations” (a super rough translation).
A lot of the classes were canceled because apparently the professors were busy, so I had to write some papers. One is for my Hukum Asuransi (Insurance Law) and the other is for Hukum Perdata (Civil Law).
