Here are the things I’ve accomplished as a writer this week:
Publishing
Published Sede Vacante (April 26, 2025) on Indonesian and American. On this quick blog post, I reflected on the death of Pope Francis, his pontificate, and how he and it relates to my life.
Published the seventh chapter of Adventures in Balkania on Royal Road.
Writing
Finished a sequel story for my military sci-fi serial Prisoner and Ransom. Like with the previous story, it’s also a five-part serial made up of individual stories. Though this one is much more interconnected. It’s a direct sequel taking place about 25 years after the events of the initial Prisoner and Ransom story and I’ll leave it at that to prevent spoilers. Also, I’m shelving the story for the moment.
Reading
Continued my reading of Barren Metal by E. Michael Jones. Have finished Chapter 22 (The Fuggers and the Habsburg Mines). Currently on Chapter 23 (The Fuggers and the Indulgence Trade) out of 101.
Miscellaneous
Went through more week of (mostly) online classes at Universitas Kristen Indonesia (UKI). This is the first week since the the midterms though the way things are going, there were still some midterm assignments I still needed to do this week, including an actual in-class exam. This week is the first time I visited my campus (in Cawang, East Jakarta). At this point, I can confidently say that I’ve mostly recovered my ability to write in Indonesian.
